How do I edit animated gifs in CS3? In CS2 I could just open it in Image Ready then export it to Photoshop to edit frame by frame, but there is no Image Ready accompanying CS3. And it still does that thing where only the first frame is visible.

Also, why can't I unlock layers in gifs?

Maybe you should consult the documentation you received when you purchased photoshop?

lol, good one.

Seriously though, this lack of freedom is really bothering me :(

If anyone here's savvy with CS3 I could really use some advice.

Alright, I found this:

I'd still like to know if there's a way to unlock frames in nonanimated gifs though.

GIFs are unlayered; once an image is converted to GIF, all layers are flattened down to one and separate layer information is lost D:
