Antitype you are forgetting that the real point of World of Warcraft is to lord your gear over everyone else.

I thought about downloading the trial and playing with you guys for a bit, but the fucking thing is 4GB and Blizzard is using some horrible slow P2P downloader to distribute it.

Well, I'm starting early because these little characters would presumably be your guy's mains, while this is my third character. When the expansion hits, I'll be spending most of my time getting my shaman to 70, so a little buffer will help me keep up with you guys a bit better. Besides, you're not going to be grouping with each other immediately. I don't think your level one Draeni is going to feel like running all the way to Elywn to party with my human. We probably won't team up until like level 15 or so.

I hate the alliance, but I prefer playing them right now because 1. I've played Horde side twice, and 2. I want to play, and get a head start with a pally. So you guys should just join that newb server Bal posted and we'll get the ball rolling.

Well as soon as Burning Crusade comes out I'm making a Draenei Priest. Going shadow spec, but that shouldn't be a problem even for level 70 5 mans. As long as there's at least 1 druid, paladin, or warrior, we should be fine. Tank + priest is the core group. The other 3 spots can be filled by anybody.

Well, at this rate I'm probably not going to end up joining most of you guys anyway, since apparently you don't want to be Horde, I don't want to play the game unless we get a solid group together for semi-regular shenanigans and levelling and I'm not going to have the money to get it when it comes out anyway, so I guess you guys can do whatever you want. (I can't sell things on eBay because the only things I'd be willing to part with wouldn't be worth enough to make my time worthwhile. I bet Valkyrie Profile doesn't go for nearly as much now that the PSP port is out and I like having the Playstation version around since it's better!)

On the off chance I do get the funds, Ben, I'd like to see if we could get a few more of the forums or #ic crowd to join us for some Horde schenanigans on whatever server people are most interested in playing on. (I prefer PvP because that's always how I've played it, but if enough people want to go PvE I'll do that.)

I would, except:

1. New PvE server = huge congestion in lowbie zones = fighting tooth and nail for lowbie quest mobs, resource nodes, can't buy anything good on the AH, etc. = ew.

2. I wanna make a Blood Elf, goddammit. Horns and blue skin don't do it for me. I even went into WoW Model Viewer and had my Blood Elf Paladin's hairstyle and skintone picked out and everything.

3. Actually I don't really give a shit about the first two, but honestly if Legato doesn't get on board, I don't have much interest in it. I already have all the crazy Azerothian shenanigans with strangers from the Internet I want on Illidan, this time I want to play with somebody I actually, physically know in that thing called real life.

Besides, you guys are talking all kinds of crazy jive about getting to 70 here, and with school and crap I'm gonna be lucky to have free time to get to 70 on Illidan, let alone anywhere else.

P.P.S. Alliance Warrior races suck ass, except for Gnome, and I hate being short. Undead is the master race of WoW, bar none. Victory for Sylvanas!

I think what we should do is just try to set a time one or two days a week where we can all get together and quest/run instances. I don't think we need to rush and grind our way to 70 or anything. Just give us something to do a couple times a week.

If we want to play horde, I'm going to wait until the expansion, because I want to make a Paladin. Unfortunately, there will probably be a million Blood Elf pallys running around on every server the second the thing hits. I don't know. You guys should just join and play alliance. Blood Elves are dumb as shit anyway.

Well, even if you don't have BC it doesn't mean you can't play. It'll take a while to get to 60 anyway, and the new draenei area only gets you to 20. Past that you're shuffled off to the same areas as everyone else. None of the new lowbie areas have instances either. So that leaves a huge chunk, 20-60 that you can play with everyone regardless of not having the expansion.

Also, sell blood, legato.

Being a shaman makes me reasonably familiar with the role of a Paladin. I kind of want to do some tanking, though, which is something a shaman can only do at very low levels.

I tried to start a new guy on one of the new PVP servers last night, but whenever you try to start any character, it says you can't. I suppose they won't be up until the expansion is out after all.

Anyway, if anybody wants to, you can join me on the new Alterac Mountains server at that time. I will be playing often with my best real life friend Scott. A good time will be had.

I think I might just ditch Weronika after all. I went and checked out Nordrassil last night and found out that most of the people playing there were capable of typing coherently, and in complete sentences, whereas Misha has been mostly full of illiterate children.

My new character (for the time being) is a human paladin called Magicnegro. I hadn't been logged in for even 30 seconds after creating him before someone whispered me, "that's offensive". We'll see how long the name lasts before a GM ~~gives me the opportunity to~~ demands that I change it. It's all in fun! — and maybe a bit of subtle commentary. I mean, he's pretty much the only black dude in all of Azeroth. He is the Magical Negro. If that's an offensive stereotype, then let it say something about the pervasive whiteness of WoW.

I guess if I'm forced to change his name I can just call him Dynamite or something.

ok, so I hate playing as a mage. I liked warlock a million times better. Pets and dots and fears and survivability make them so much funner. As a warlock I could tank multiple even leveled monsters without a problem, and I had no downtime leveling. As a mage I run out of mana so damn often, and I go down so fast. i'm only level 12, so i'd probably get a little better as time goes on. But eff it, i probably won't play again until next week and I make my draenei.

Antitype, I once made a black, female mage named Coffy, and I joined a guild called "the black people". Everyone in there had a name referencing their black-ness.... or a famous black actor of some sort (Dolemite was a rogue)

we never had to change names, but we got called offensive and offensive things. It was a lot of fun.
