You can now see the list of entries in this year's Independent Games Festival. Several of the entries look pretty promising, and then there's The Zoo Race.
This video shows an introduction and some footage from the game.
"No, Hannah. I like books about animals. Those other books are boring to me."

I think the video is brilliant regardless of the developers' views toward the story of Noah's Ark or religion in general. In fact, I think this ambiguity is one of the more interesting things about it. I love the way the librarians drop the subject of religious beliefs and secular learning before they really establish any arguments.
If I had to guess, I'd say that the developers intended to create a product for several disparate audiences. |

I thought about this movie again the other day, and decided to go ahead and buy the game because it's only $4. (It's worth more than that just for the entertainment value of the introductory movie, which incidentally does not seem to be in the game at all.)
Navigating the shop was in a way kind of a puzzle in itself.
Although many of the game's surprises were spoiled for me by videos long ago, it's still fun to go through the different tracks.
"What else could ever happen to us today?"
I might have to get the first game as well. |
