Right now I am using Big Seizure Boss as my avatar. The soldier so legendary he induces seizures.
Below is Opa-Opa, the hero of Sega's Fantasy Zone, promoting peace and love. In tow is a internet geek-penis enlarger. Below that is some random text to balance out the pictures.
Been using these current ones for a while so I guess maybe I should change them, huh. _________________ HeavyViper@Twitter ~~~ HeavyViper@Soundcloud

avatar is a photo taken of me nearly 2 years ago. it is the only photo in which i look at all attractive. this might just be because photos are not often taken of me sober, though.
sig is quotes from the forums that i change every couple of months or so.
dess i thought your avatar was a rabbit, not a cat. but now i see that the ear is actually a leg. _________________

Now I have the Queen comic avatar/sig!
The avatar is from Freddie explaining the Queen logo (apparently it is a collective of the band's star signs!) and he goes on to say "It looks good Darling! What more needs to be said?"
(here is the picture)
and the sig is him and Brian talking about the lyrics for Death on Two Legs obviously and here is where Freddie admits that he is a sadist! |

My avatar is actually not a totally generic ninja. Just semi-generic. oekaki from Megaman Battle Network. Shadow man. That's his shoulder on the right btw. Not a crystal ball.
Sig is from Megaman Zero 2. The intro reveal. I've been in a Megaman mood lately. _________________

wow I forgot all about this thread, I will explain again here about my avatar
This is David Dixon as Ford Prefect from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy BBC series, he is really cute and has really pretty blue eyes.
Debating whether or not to have a signiture with the actual ford prefect car logo. |

Ugg, my avatar is something I drew bloody ages ago. It's pretty crappy and too imposing. I'm due for a change.
I also need a sig.

I have would say my approach to avatars is essentially sex on wheels, with Kurt Cobain playing the role of the driver and Steven Hawking spitting into the fuel tank at an exhaustive pace, but Steven Hawking is only “one man!” and he cannot spit that much. There I am, stark naked, ripped, cut, toned, buff, well-endowed. And our new friends aren’t weird at all: they’re focus-grouped and boring. You might be a guy who sees the singer in a magazine and decides to start wearing eyeshadow, or you might hear the screaming of the guitar and think that it’s precisely the kind of anti-structure you need in that very moment.
It feels, quite frankly, like fiddling with a Rubik’s Cube while sitting on top of a Wild-West-style speeding train. There’s a photographer by the name of Hiroshi Sugimoto, and one of his projects centers around blurring shots of architecture, the premise being “the most iconic things will stand the transformation and remain, in essence.” Unfortunately, there’s a snag: The Forger (damn and blast!) is so terribly nearsighted that he’s likely to be a serious drag on the rest of the POWs during their desperate flight from the Nazis. If you’re the certain kind of person who will run around with a shotgun, perhaps it was Captain Picard, with an important message! I felt the sting of a bead of sweat trickling into my eye.
oh sorry what i meant to say is "drawings of girls looking to the left" |

Avatar is Kenshiro smashing some guy's face in through a big rock from the first of the new Fist of the North Star movies. It was a pretty cool scene, since he does some Jesus-style resurrection, then YOU wa SHOCK plays and he kicks a lot of ass.
(I don't actually remember the plot to that movie but I don't think it matters much.)
Funny how many people have changed their sig/avatars since posting here. |

| Every time I read one of your posts, and your avatar is just in my periphery it looks like a fucked up walrus. So then I have to look directly at it and allow my mind time to reconcile the image. |

Ah, what the hell? I'll never get another chance!
My name is supposed to be This Machine Kills Fascists, but I never fixed it.
The name is a reference to depression-era folk troubadour Woody Guthrie, who used to write it on his guitar. I'm not really a Guthrie fan, but I've always loved that sentence.
My avatar is a picture of the disembodied and menacing hand of Winston Churchill, flashing the peace sign. Layers of irony, gents.
I scanned the picture from the back of an album of Churchill speeches that I bought at a used record store. Sometimes I play the record loudly to wake people up or invite people to my house and pretend that I had just been sitting there in my underwear, listening to the record. Sometimes I yell back at the record. If the record is really bad, I put it in The Bad Drawer.
Speaking of Churchill, just about any picture of him makes a good avatar:

my signature is a symbol of my procrastination, I am not looking forward to trying to get S ranks on those item finding missions.
avatar source:
From a promotional flyer for the SNES version of Laplace's Devil, a horror manga/game property based around people investigating the paranormal occurrences in 1920s Boston.
I had a page up on the IC wiki about what little I knew about it before it apparently got taken down (long after I had forgotten I was procrastinating working on articles on it). Basically, besides the setting, what interests me about the game (which started as a first-person dungeon crawler on Japanese PCs) is all the little touches it has that made it unique for it's time, like it's limit break-style special system, having to use special items/attacks to defeat ethereal enemies, and the fact that you didn't earn money from defeating enemies - you had to have journalist-class character take their pictures and then sell them, and they might come out bad and you'd get half the money.
The game starts out in a haunted mansion but that goes into a castle in another dimension and then it gets kind of weird. I should probably play through it someday - there's a partially finished translation patch over at AGTP, which Gideon has been meaning to finish up for quite a while. _________________

This is Mr. Contac, as seen in a Madarake display case at Nakano Broadway. I took the picture and then they told me to stop taking pictures.
Jerks :(
I switched back to this one because I stopped paying for my web space so the picture of my cat went away. I have terrible avatars. |
