| What's the verdict on upgrading? I got my wife a new iMac literally two days ago and we'll be getting Leopard tonight. She's already set everything up how she wants it on the iMac so we'll probably just upgrade it. Does that leave a whole lot of cruft behind and make for a possibly slower system vs. a fresh install? |
No. All Mac OS X applications and services are self-contained and modular. That's a problem on Windows, where there are loose DLL's floating around. The only thing might be if the file system has become fragmented over time, which just means disk access time will be slower, but hers is new, so!

Here's his 10.4 one.
I will read this to my children. |
