|
|
| Last night I was looking at myself in the mirror, and was straight-up horrified and disappointed. This morning I conducted a re-review, and it wasn't nearly so bad. Are these mirrors lying to me, or is my body lying to itself? |

| There are few known workarounds. One of which involves the flat mirrors. You can use a technique I call "angle bisection". This method works by getting to a position close to the mirror's path and looking what's in the mirror. You then find the object shown in the mirror, map its position and bisect the angle (split it in half). This gives the angle the mirror is facing. You then calculate the width of the mirror and add 10% of my distance from the nearest edge of the mirror to create the "hazard zone". This technique does not work, however, with those stubborn curved mirrors. The curved mirrors are the worst. I take longer to find the object in the mirror, sometimes even twice as long, as it does for me to map the position, bisect the angle, and create the "hazard zone" from all those calculations. |

I have taken to leaving the medicine cabinet mirror slightly ajar, so that I can see myself from angles other than straight-on. It's interesting how many little details I had been missing. _________________

I usually think I look pretty bad in mirrors.
However, I did recently see myself in this one mirror that was part of a sculpture in a museum and I looked pretty damn good.
I think that was because of the lighting. Natural light tends to make things look a lot better. |

Guys
Is the world we see in the mirror a slightly different world?
If one were to be perfectly surrounded by mirror, would one become a god [of that world]? _________________ o-/< --- o-\< --- o-|-| --- o^-< |

Well if you had some radioactive material near by you could become a puddle of plasma. |

I heard you can break the universe by putting two mirror faces together. That's why they always put mirrors in frames, so that the frames will prevent the mirrors from touching. _________________

Yeah, it's like, "What the..."
Man I want to sit inside of one of those mirror balls. They look easy enough to make that they should be in science museums and such. _________________
